We learned a lot about the data analytics tools available to analysts over the years working with Data Analytics MS students and it was clear to all : THEY NEEDED MORE. In this third and final installment, gain a glimpse into the Innovative Data Analytics Solution born from our frustrations with modern tools. Generally available in September 204, C9 Lens is a unified data analytics platform highly customizable to democratize data analytics within your organizations . Lens has been the solution to all of the major problems the Cohort I faced.

Lens is a unified analytics solution thoughtfully curated by C9 to Lens’ combination of GCP’s data warehouse power as the backend and the collaboration capabilities of Google Workspace as the front end.  Lens allows petabytes (1,000 terabytes) of data to be analyzed directly within Sheets by connecting to one of Google’s ‘BigQuery data warehouses’.

Lens encompasses Cloud9’s robust Google partnership by starting with the powerful base of BigQuery, then linking Connected Sheets as the data analytics tool, and finally adding any other synergistic apps that might enhance the experience, including basic to advanced Artificial Intelligence and machine learning capabilities.

Lens thrives on Google Workspace communication and organization support apps like Drive, Meet, and Chat. The ability to drill down and comment in specific cells directly in the Lens dashboards or within Google Chat has improved the communication experience by cutting down on bulky emails and leaving a clear trail of evidence for any time review.

Lens customizes solutions for computer users in any business to be mere clicks away from a whole new statistical analysis. It’s so portable in fact, that most of Lens can be used on a cell phone in your backyard while you lay in your chaise lounge!

The development of Lens made significant progress from Cohort I to Cohort II thanks to our resident data architect, Robin Li, who took a leadership role in Cohort II after being a student in Cohort I. Provision – Lens provisions user access to data in a radically simple way. Simple URL can distribute Lens, where the data was readily available. The students did not have to go through the hardships of downloading massive data files and clipping them together.  Cloud9 had already combined the datasets and shared them in a usable, real-time, trackable format.
